A product can sit in more than one category, which makes your reports more useful and lets you run a discount on a whole group of items in a single tap.

How to structure them
Whatever fits the way you think about your menu:
- Broad: stick to high-level groups like “Food” and “Drinks”
- Granular: break it down into “Craft beer” or “Cocktails”
That way you can knock 20% off every lager for the summer, or run a quick promotion across a specific product group, without touching products one by one.
