Connect Moneybird to 20Tabs
With the Moneybird integration, 20Tabs books your revenue into your accounting automatically. After each closing, 20Tabs creates a sales invoice in Moneybird with the revenue per revenue category and the correct VAT. Vouchers and customer balance are booked along with it. No more retyping numbers by hand.
Requirements
- An active 20Tabs account
- A Moneybird administration
Installing through the App Store
The integration uses OAuth: you sign in to both systems once and grant access. There are no API keys to copy around.
- Open the backoffice and go to the App Store.
- Pick Moneybird and click Install.
- Confirm the permissions. The integration can only read your daily and monthly closings.
- You are redirected to Moneybird. Sign in and grant access for the administration you want to connect.
You are then sent back to 20Tabs. The app now shows as Installed in the App Store and the integration is active.
Tip: Interrupted during setup? Open the app again in the App Store and click Finish setup.
Setting up ledger accounts
After installing, extra Moneybird fields appear in the backoffice. These determine which ledger account each revenue stream is booked to. The dropdowns are loaded live from your Moneybird administration.
Revenue categories
- Go to Backoffice → Revenue categories and open a category.
- Pick the ledger account you want under Moneybird Accounting Category.
- Save, and repeat for each revenue category.
If you don’t pick a ledger account, 20Tabs books the revenue to the default Omzet (Revenue) account in Moneybird.
Vouchers
- Go to Backoffice → Vouchers and open a voucher.
- Under Moneybird Ledger Account, pick the account where sales and redemptions of this voucher are booked.
Customer balance
Do you work with balance on customer cards?
- Go to Backoffice → Loyalty.
- Under Moneybird Customer balance ledger account, pick the account for topped-up and spent balance.
How is it booked?
- After the monthly closing, 20Tabs creates one sales invoice in Moneybird, on a contact named 20Tabs.
- Each revenue category becomes its own invoice line, including VAT. 20Tabs automatically finds the Moneybird tax rate with the same percentage.
- Redeemed vouchers and payments with customer balance are registered as payments on the invoice, on the ledger account you configured above.
Would you rather have an invoice every day instead of every month? Contact us and we’ll switch the integration to daily booking.
Tip: Make sure your Moneybird administration has tax rates for all percentages you use in 20Tabs. If a rate is missing, that revenue line cannot be booked.
Removing the integration
- Go to the App Store and open Moneybird.
- Click Manage installation and then Uninstall.
The integration is removed and no new invoices are created in Moneybird. Previously booked invoices remain untouched.
